STANDARD SERVICE AGREEMENT

DEFINITIONS AND CONDITIONS OF THIS CONTRACT
This Service Agreement, between Steades Group LLC (“CONTRACTOR”) and the signatory (“CUSTOMER”) for an improvement contract project, in order to establish the terms and conditions agreed by and between the contractor and the homeowners, regarding to the realization of the previously presented proposal. During your project, you will be assigned a Job Site Supervisor (JSS). The JSS is on site to provide oversight, lead the task force, and be available to address any of your concerns throughout the project. Steades Group LLC and your JSS will oversee and ensure that the project is managed as promised and carried out on schedule to your satisfaction.
The professional technical details are indicated in the proposal and additional requests will have an additional charge as applicable. At the end of the project, we will clean up completely and then take a final walk-around with you to inspect the work done if available when the team has finished their work and, if necessary, finish any final touch-ups. Steades Group LLC at the end of your project expects to receive an excellent review from you when you evaluate our work. PLEASE CAREFULLY REVIEW ALL OF THE ITEMS, AREAS AND COMPONENTS THAT ARE INCLUDED AS WELL AS THOSE THAT ARE EXCLUDED TO ENSURE THAT THERE IS NO MISUNDERSTANDINGS AS TO THE SCOPE OF THE PROJECT. ANY ITEMS, AREAS, AND COMPONENTS NOT SPECIFICALLY INCLUDED ARE EXCLUDED.
1- MATERIALS – All materials are acquired before starting work. If after the start of the work a change in color, measurements, material, etc. is required, Steades Group LLC must charge the expenses of time and materials incurred in the original project.
2 -UNFORESEEN CONDITIONS: Should conditions arise that CANNOT be determined by visual inspection prior to commencing work, the customer is required to pay an agreed upon completion fee. If the client declines the proposal, a bill cut will be made for the project.
3 -PROPOSAL – This proposal is valid for 15 days after it is written. In addition, the contractor must be informed of his desire to perform the work and receive a signed copy of the proposal before the work begins.
4 – ACCENT WALLS: If a customer decides to add an accent wall at any time after receiving this proposal, an additional fee of $150 per accent wall will be added to the total before tax, due to additional labor and materials required.
5 – COLORS — Colors may be chosen by the client prior to commencement of work. If, after the job starts, a color change is required, the independent Contractor will have to charge for time and material expenses incurred on the original color.
6 – CUSTOMER TO: Allow clear access to work areas, remove all paintings, pictures, wall decorations, remove small and fragile objects
7 – PAYMENT METHODS: We accept checks and credit cards. If paying by check, make the check payable to STEADES GROUP LLC to the job site supervisor assigned to your project. If paying by credit card, visit https://www.steades.com/epay/.
8 – PAYMENT TERMS: A down Payment can be requested to cover material costs by approximately 20% due to the start of the project. The balance or payment in full is due at the end of the project.
9 – LATE PAYMENT FEE: In the event that the customer fails to make the full payment within 3 days following the completion of the Project, a surcharge will be applied for each day of delay. The surcharge will amount to $150 of the total amount owed after 15 days. Furthermore, if the payment is not made within the next 29 days, an additional surcharge of $350 will be added.
Monthly Increment: If the payment is not made in full after 60 days from the completion of the Project, a monthly increment of 10% of the original amount owed will be applied until the general balance is settled, adding the first surcharge of $150 and the second surcharge of $350.
By law: In the event of default by the Customer in payment as stipulated in this Agreement, the Company reserves the right to take legal action to recover the amount owed, which may include the collection of additional interest and incurred legal costs.
